Where in MI are you? I have an 09 Hillclimb edition with the S on it. I love this sled. I have taken it out west twice and have had no problems at all out there and only been on about 40 miles of trail total since I've had it new.

That the 08 cant sidehill. But what about the ? How does that do for technical tree riding? Easy or kinda a hassle?

My story: I have a that's right, a 2 year old snowmobile Skidoo freeridethe second most expensive sled they built that year. I have 2, miles on the sled. I do not beat my machines and I maintain them well.

I have had nothing but problems with this sled. It's spent more time in the dealership's garage than on the trail. I'll start off by saying this sled would be impossible to ride without the 2 year warranty.

It has never run right. In the first season, they thought they fixed it by replacing one fuel injector and reflashing the computer. Still didn't run right. The second season saw them replacing the other fuel injector at first, then the exhaust temperature sensor.

While they were doing that, they noticed that the computer was not working correctly, so they replaced that.You can admire the handsome graphics, the pure white engine cowling, raw aluminum chassis with cheese grater runningboards and Ski-Doo yellow A-arms, but get over yourself if you think the Ski-Doo MXZ X-RS is for every rider. Unless you are buying this latest race-bred MXZ as a collector or are a serious and accomplished ditch-banger, save your money, your body and your ego and opt for a similarly spiffy but more every day rideable MXZ X.

It will quickly separate the faux experts from the real ones in your riding group. It is purposely built that way. We know personally that we are years beyond the target group for this sled, but we can still appreciate what Ski-Doo engineers and marketers are offering. The sled is designed for the serious wannabe who wraps his ego into his sled. This is to snowmobiles as the Suzuki Hayabusa is to motorcycles. It is all about performance. Making it a maximum performance sled is the option of a horsepower cc PowerTEK twin to seal the deal, but the updated cc E-TEC will do for starters.

It is the same displacement used in stock snocross machines. The power is ample. It is the same platform used on the MX Zx racing version. That means it comes standard with the wide footboards that have been braced with the extruded edge. The handlebar and steering post positioning is purposefully set forward to make upright running natural as you enter a bump-pitted ditch run.

The Quebec-based snowmobile engineers feel having the steering post forward better serves a stand-up riding position. The competition feels mounting the steering back is better. Expert powder riders tell us that both work, but that the forward post makes holding a sled into the hillside for side hilling is not as easy as having the steering back a little further.

But, they say the forward post makes for more maneuverability on various mountain trails.

For powder riding, there are trade-offs, for ditch pounding the ability to stand and read rough terrain works and is what you want. Note that the X-RS front A-arms are of a lightweight design with the lower arm of chromoly construction.

I would say it more likely you don't have something hooked up right or you have a bad connection. Did you check the connection from the trigger coil cps to the Mpem?

Are you sure it is plugged all the way in? Make sure you didn't push a pin out of one of the connectors at the mpem. One of the pins on your sled might be pushed in the connector making a bad connection and that is why the mpem works on your dads sled but not yours. Yes i know the difference is the engines trust me i have been in this trade for 15 years and i have seen alot of failures in boats,snowmobiles,motorcycles,atv's BRP has a problem that they have been masking for years.

Who puts grease inside a motor with no option to re-grease or inspect without tearing the whole motor down? Designed to be serviced by BRP - as stated, that's the best way to make money Good for about miles - on an average rider sled that is just about the time the warranty runs out Pretty sad. Warhawk, now that the cases are apart, I would drill and tap a grease fittings in there somewhere to lube the bearings on both ends of the crank.

I bought an o7 in febuary last year as a hold over. Nov 26, 9, 4, 52 LakeTapps, Wa. On the primary clutch replece the spring cap assy.

I would also replace the rollers and make sure everything else in the primary is in tolerance.
