I use Anki to learn bird songs. Every spring. By fall, I don't have time to review the songs anymore. And by the next spring, I've forgotten everything and need to start over. Gosh, I wish there was a built-in button in Anki so I could just start over without having to export everything and re-import.

I've imported someone else's deck that contained scheduling information associated with cards annnd it's really annoying, that's why.

You can use the add-on mentioned in the previous comment if you would like. Alternatively, you can re-export without schedule, delete the deck, and re-import. Just cross-linking issues - I think this may be achievable with the PR. Then click the deck you want to reset on the left side column. Worth noting that this is the most popular content in the project.

The first request is to completely obliterate review information. This case happens when you import a deck that contains someone else's scheduling information and the review history is completely unwanted.

Neither Anki Desktop nor AnkiDroid supports this currently, and I argue they shouldn't - it's really an export error they shouldn't have exported it with scheduling information if they were going to share it.

The solution since you are already exporting and importing decks is to re-export it but this time without scheduling information, delete it from your collection, then import the clean export. The second request, and the one we should implement in order to mirror Anki Desktop, is to reposition all cards into the new queue. You can do it on one card at a time in AnkiDroid in the options menu for each card. But you can't do it on all the cards selected at once in multi-select mode.

Multi-select mode is only present in AnkiDroid 2.Put "Zank Step Decks", "Zanki Pharmacology", and "Lolnotacop" under a head deck "AnKing" see image below It is important that all of your decks are spelled exactly like this.

This ensures that when you import the cards that I have added, they go into the correct decks instead of creating new decks. Go back to the Anki Main screen with the decks, add, browse buttons across the top a. It will look like nothing happened. This is because it imported a subdeck into the AnKing deck with 1 card which can be deleted.

Click Browse i. If at any point, it tells you that you have to force the update to either download from the web or upload to the web - hit cancel.

You can do it at the end. If it starts to sync, hit the Red X. Ensure that the following match up with the correct drop-down box: 1. Everything should be correct but if not, change it to match vi. Hit Okay e. Select the Cloze — AnKingSketchy i. Ensure that the following match up with the correct drop down box: 1. Make sure everything is correctly matched up 2.

If you have tags of your own that you do not want to get overridden, watch this video for how to do that. At this point, you need to export all cards with the tag s you want to keep using the "export cards selected in browser" add-on or if you're on Anki 2.

I strongly recommend using the bettertags add-on if you have multiple tags so that you can put all of those tags under one head tag and only export one tag. AnKingMaster Card Type b. Current AnKing version c. Pepper Micro d. Pepper Pharm e. UltraZanki f. Any sketchypath, pixorize, etc deck that the community has posted and is included in the current version. Open a new profile i. Create a new profile and import the deck you previously exported with your tags.

Delete all un-needed tags in the deck. The fastest way to do this is to get the bettertags add-on and drag tags under one head tag and then delete the head tag.

Reopen your main profile i. Once you import them it will probably take a whileclick on the little silver cog next to the deck name. Delete the three decks you just imported i. Everything should be good to go! Export your current deck a. This will essentially back up your deck b.So I thought I would share these with you, and maybe you can benefit from it.

You can even edit it to suit your needs! The checklist can be found here. Resources from Day Collecting UWorld Tidbits.
